Oolong Tea

Oolong Tea

Our Oolong tea is of the Anxi varietea, characterized by minimal oxidation and it resembles green tea in its profile. Known for its delicate and fresh floral aroma, it exudes a bright color tea when brewed. While traditionally oolong teas of this type were heavily roasted, we prefer the modern and feminine green variety.

Its complex taste makes it a favorite among tea enthusiasts seeking variety and depth. The premier varieties of Oolong tea (Tieguanyin) are among the most expensive teas in the world.

Made from partially oxidized Camellia sinensis leaves, oolong tea is packed with beneficial antioxidants that may help boost your immune system and improve your overall health.   Overall, people drink our oolong tea for its delicious taste, potential health benefits, cultural significance, and the sense of enjoyment and connection it brings to their lives.

We OBVIOUSLY LOVE that.

...our tea is certified Organic.  No stems. No dust. Best leaves only; Tier A tea...

Flavor profile

The absolute Queen of tea - Oolong, formerly known as Dragon tea. The highest honor is bestowed on all of us. It is a ceremonial tea but it loves to entertain and bless the connoisseurs of real teas regardless of the background.

High Mountain Oolong, our green version, only slightly exposed to the high early spring sun, is the smoothest of them all, with striking feminine flavors.

Milky, smooth, and the highest quality.

Feel free to wash it under running water before you brew it. Let it open. Even seven consecutive steeps work.

We found the best Oolong!

Key Benefits

A. ANTIOXIDANT

Similar to black and green teas, oolong tea contains several vitamins, minerals, and helpful antioxidants.

A cup of brewed oolong tea contains small amounts of calcium, magnesium, and potassium. It also contains about 38 mg of caffeine. In comparison, a cup of green tea contains about 29mg of caffeine (4Trusted Source, 5Trusted Source).

Some of the main antioxidants in oolong tea, known as tea polyphenols, are theaflavins, thearubigins, and EGCG. These are responsible for many of its health benefits.

B. MENTAL ALERTNESS

For starters, caffeine can increase the release of norepinephrine and dopamine. These two brain messengers are thought to benefit mood, attention, and brain function.

Further research shows that theanine, an amino acid in tea, may also help boost attention and relieve anxiety. A 2014 review reports that tea containing both caffeine and theanine increased alertness and attention within the first 1 to 2 hours after consumption.

C. DIGESTIVE AID

Research suggests that oolong tea may decrease body fat and boost metabolism, reducing the risk of obesity and aiding weight loss. Studies show oolong tea stimulates fat burning and increases the number of calories your body burns by up to 3.4%.

D. HEART HEALTH

Oolong tea’s polyphenols activate an enzyme that breaks down triglycerides, a type of fat in your blood. These triglycerides contribute to the thickening of artery walls, increasing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and other heart diseases. Research also shows oolong tea can also lower your cholesterol, which at high levels is another heart disease risk.

  • Xanthines

These compounds act as stimulants. They include caffeine and theobromine, which are also found in tea, coffee, and chocolate.

  • Caffeoyl derivatives

These compounds are the main health-promoting antioxidants in the tea.

  • Saponins

These bitter compounds have certain anti-inflammatory and cholesterol-lowering properties.

  • Polyphenols

This is a large group of antioxidants, linked to a reduced risk of many diseases
